Why do you even want Crucible gear, dude? Raid gear is better for PvE anyway.

There is no such thing as crucible gear.
-
No, there is no such thing as PvP gear. I'm referring to the gear sold for Crucible marks, which, granted, is not designed specifically for PvP. Just saying, raid gear is still better for PvE, so I don't really understand what everyone is so bent out of shape about if they don't do PvP, why not just buy gear that's sold for Vanguard marks so they can get to a high enough light level to do the raid, and then use the raid gear?
-
It isnt always about having the best gear. Its about the options. My personal example is the void 77 wizard only available through crucible marks. If i want a void fusion rifle for PvE I have to play PvP to get it? Thats terrible. If this game was solely about minmaxing it wouldnt be very interesting either would it? Not to mention raid drops are random so why say just use raid items when in reality you may not even get the best stuff from the raid?
-
Again what Crucible gear do you speak of? I see legendary gear I want to use which enhances my stats/skills in PvE. Not sure PvP gear exists with the standard vendors which is why they all should accept both currencies in the first place. It seems obvious by the vendor names were for a different type game and then got watered down but not fixed. I also bet they did intend to have PvP and PvE items and then cut it.

I'm speaking of gear that you can only get with crucible marks. It is not as good for PvE as raid gear is. So if you don't PvP, I don't see why you'd even want gear that can only be bought with crucible marks, if raid gear will further increase your light level and therefore performance more. Granted, you need to be at least level 26 to do the raid, that's why there is gear that can be bought with vanguard marks that can get you as high as 28, or 29 if you have an exotic piece.
-
most people wont accept you in to easy raid if your in any blue.
-
So buy Vanguard gear?
-
If it had the perks and mods I use I would. The point is every default vendor has a weapon or armor I want to use. That is why I spent time leveling and obtaining Crucible rep and marks. Why do I want to level a piece of armor or weapon I don't like or has perks I don't use? According to the negative replies, the answer seems to be STFU and play it one way. Talk about a lame reply to a game that has the tag line Choose you own way to become a legend.

Edited by Patient3591: 12/4/2014 3:34:39 AMThat's a much larger complaint about the overall design of the game, and it not aligning with how it was advertised. Currently, there is one best set of gear for PvE. Everything else you use is either stepping stones to help you get that gear, or sub-optimal, unless you're using it for PvP. It just seems a little misplaced to get upset that you can't buy that other set of suboptimal gear you want, instead of being upset that there is only one set of gear that you can use if you don't want to gimp yourself.

So if I use auto and snipers my armor that provides perks for shotguns and hand cannons is great to use right?
-
It's an acceptable stepping stone to get you to level 26 so you can do the raid and replace it with something actually useful.
-
So the raid hands out the gear and weapons I want to use and sink time and money into. Why the heck didn't anyone tell me the raid provides a vendor who hands out desired gear? I am a fool for trying to use weapons and gear I want to buy and upgrade first before doing the easy raid. Since I play at random times with no pattern I am sure I can find a group to help. LFG has not worked but maybe you can provide a suggestion?
