The inherent problem is not the removal of the tedious material exchange so much as 80% of the Vendors being Crucible mark only. Turn Dead Orbit and co into taking either Mark and it'd be balanced out fine. (I don't know why Dead Orbit or Monarchy care about Crucible anyways, based off what little info they have. FWC at least makes some sense)
