When you lose in PvP you are pissing off and many people as making their day. Their are winners and losers in PvP and people on your opposing team are guaranteed an automatic victory. The marks exchange isn't going to be brought back because you would be able to exchance vanguard marks for crucible marks essentially. So it cuts out part of the game for some people, and allows reputation gains in crucible factions without playing crucible. This is further magnified by people that play crucible, as they can do the same but have double the gain on the matter.
If you want PvP gear, play pvp. This is a no brainer and conversation shouldn't even occur on the matter, one whiner isn't going to destroy crucible for the other people. They will just think you are bad and move on, you intentionally feeding is just going to make it a bad experience for yourself.

A logical validation for the Removal of the Exchange Materials for Marks. Bungie did not communicate the Removal of the Exchange Materials for Marks to the Community at all. Yeah they Communicated that They will be adding Exchange Marks for Materials. They've also communicated in the patch notes that the Cryptach increase as been reduced. Which Is something they've done in this patch. Not a headline item like Promised Exotic Buffs Exchange Marks for Materials Exotic Upgrade Change But an affect of Patch 1.1 The Removal of exchange materials for marks is also an affect of 1.1 But it was not documented in the patch notes or indicated as likely outcome with exchange marks for materials in earlier communcations about that feature. If as your validation indicates the Bungie were trying to pre-empt care-package spamming through reputation boosting They could have adjusted Exchange materials for Marks by removing Reputation gain from the Exchange. I'll still have a Crucible Rank of 0 and I can Increase Vanguard and other faction Rank though [still] existing methods. Cryptarch Rank will still increase from the Rare Engrams I bring him. Patch is then a Very Good Patch Then I (and maybe many other) would be recieving enjoyment while playing Destiny and feel we BECOME our LEGEND in Destiny

If you want PvP crucible marks, play PvP there is no reason at all for you to be able to exchange materials for PvP marks. It shouldn't have been implemented in the first place. People constantly saying the Become Legend catch phrase is getting annoying, it is a bit autistic for people to get all sperglord over this game. People take it too seriously, and create their own fan fiction and speculation as to why things exist. Noone in my nearest vicinity in actual life would say, in Destiny, I don't fell like I can become legend. It is like if I was playing dark souls you constantly saying I was prepared to die, we all prepared to die people. become Legend is basically the same thing as saying, I am a furry I find animals hot.

I'm not sure how seriously we are taking Destiny. Maybe we're taking Bungies Reactions to How We Play Destiny or try to play Destiny far more seriously. Which Patch after Patch seems not to be the way Bungie EVER Wanted the (Whole|Majority|Any) Community To Play Destiny. Why Doesn't Bungie Just Get Rid of Vendors and It's all RNG which is were it's heading for PvE Or we Log In and our Character Runs though Destiny Automatically for Bungie to Play Destiny with. The whole Get Good Or go Play PvP and put up with it response from the PvP centric side of the Destiny community is becoming just as tiring as "Become Legend"

Edited by Saint Genji: 12/3/2014 5:21:02 PMDestiny, is incomplete there is no doubt about that. But if you play other mmos, you will find that there are pvp related items. And in fact in some, you only get them if you are good in pvp, sometimes you have to be really good to get them. And I think these should be seperate, there are multiple people who play this game, and methods to getting stuff should definitely be kept seperate. On the base game, they are an fps styled in an mmo but the content is about 10% of what a normal mmo styled game has. One raid on release is typical of a phone game, but not a AAA made from bungie. Sure, you can say that it was consoles holding it back, specifically the ones 10 years old, and that very well may be the case. You can also say that bungie really didn't know what they were getting into, or they just flat out pulled a molyneux. The funny thing is, people are eating it up. Including myself, the fact that such little content can entertain so many people for so long is a testament to what gaming in general is turning into, we justified them for what they did, we proved to them that they didn't need to make more content and the community was more or less sated with what was already there. But that really is beside the point, the argument was including a PvP element and a PvE element. Even though they aren't as developed as they should be, they should be kept seperate just in case they are, it promotes a healthy game with healthy competition. I can't imagine the butthurt if PvP was as skill based as the Hard raid, how would people feel if you could get raid equivalent gear only by winning games consistantly with a 2.0 K/D, people these days think they are entitled to things these days. They would be upset because they could never attain it, they want a hand out just because it exists. Think that they bought the game so it entitles them to have every piece of content within the game, it's ridiculous. I am not the one to say back in my day, but back in my day kids that played games wanted to aspire to something, now they just want free hand outs. and it is a truly sad sad day, it is a good thing I wasn't a child during this era, I lived through the post-golden age of gaming and it was good. Now we have micro transactions and self entitlement, as well as AAA lying and giving less than quality games to the consumers. And the consumers sucking it right up, straight from the tap. Edit: Just to clarify, it could come out wrong when people think they are entitled to the games existing content, this applies to earned gear which doesn't really exist because it is really only existent in the raid. People are obviously entitled to the games content such as strikes, raids, and other activities.

Edited by N7Spartan: 12/3/2014 10:38:34 PMThank you. I can agree that the various weapon and armour elements could be kept seperated between PvP and PvE (original or future) as long as there is an equal share accessable though equiable means to the various segments of the community. Wholly and Solely relying on the Generator is not fair if PvP could Purchase it specifically if they choose to. Adding Buying Materials at the Crucible|Vanguard Exchange is fine. Removing the. Removing their Sale is OK if it is fixing this seperation or prevent RNG exploit through Rep Boosting but PvE should have a choice of skinned Guns and armour from vendors other than just the Vanguard or One Skinned Weapons (Looks OK on Light\Beware but I don't want it on most of my weapons). I like the New Monarchy Red/White and I can accept the point of view that it's PvP intended. The fact that there was an alternative path to accessing it prior Material Exchange and Purchase with required Cruicble marks meant PvE could accuire it (Originanlly Intended by Bungie or Not?) taking more or as much time as PvP and could feel that they earned it (PvE still needed to rank up the faction as well Rember those Beacons). The PvPers second main point in argument that they are funtionally equivenlent to vanguard or immediately superceded buy any legendary weapon/armour piece in it's category is void if I'm buying it for Consmetic/Set Completion or other reason. I'm Playing with My Copy of Destny in a method that is satifying me you (I'm not annoyed that the PvP player is using their copy in a different way to me a deriving their satisfiaction) If the faction content is no longer intended for PvE without a reasonable portion of PvP where is the Color/Consmetic Weapon choices for the PvE to purchase. Or the communication that such vendors for PvE will be added. The fact that there was no communication about The Removal of Selling Materials maybe being a consequence of the others Implementation in the Patch notes or prior has me most disapointed with Bungie on this Patch
