Random engrams from what? Drop rates were nerfed because of the loot cave, the cryptarch levels slower than shit now, so all that's left is strikes, where the drop rate is so low you run them for hours and never see one purple.

The cryptarch never gave me a legendary in like 20 levels, it was always blue engrams. Now he levels 25% slower but is almost guaranteed to every time. I still don't see how being able to buy faction gear equates to 80% of the game, as the OP states. You don't think that's [i]a bit[/i] hyperbolic?
