I dont get what your saying because you can exchange 10 vanguard marks i believe for 20 materials of your choice since the new patch
Edit: i see what your saying now and i think they removed it because you no longer have to grind for mats since you can purchase them

I used to be able to trade materials in for crucible marks and rep. They removed that so now the only way to get Crucible rep or marks is to do PvP.

No, he wanted the marks you could get from exchanging planetary mats. He desperatedly hated PvP but still did that so he could get some stuff from the factions but now hes forced to play PvP which is honestly pretty shitty. I hate PvP even and I'm good at it. I just play so I can get Gjallarhorn.

Don't need to play PVP to get Gjallahorn or for that matter any other exotic. I had two Gjallahorn's, one from the raid, and one from doing a Vanguard Tiger Strike.

I have nerve damage which is why I suck at PvP. I have problems with the Strikes sometimes and haven't tried the Raid yet since I don't want to drag others down with the slow pace I prefer. I just don't know why they removed the option to exchange materials for PvP rep and marks. Makes no sense to me.

Edited by NathanW18: 12/2/2014 8:03:25 AMIt's probably because very few people used it. It takes too long and wouldn't be worth the effort for most. I have read your posts and I see that yours is an exceptional case. It must take forever to trade in materials for a decent amount of rep and marks. I guess every change is going to upset at least some people, but this is something that the majority will prefer. I guess they could have kept the material trading for marks and rep in the game, while also adding in the ability to purchase materials for marks.

I already raided on 3 characters and for tiger strikes, they've treated me like shit lol. Done around 200 without an exotic and they're getting a bit monotonous.
