Totally agree. Stop forcing players who hate pvp play crucible to earn marks. Any team with these people participating will suffer. Good luck winning if you're on my team because I'm one of them. Pvp is full of vultures who prey on the weak like me. Taking my choice away is not what i want in my gaming experience

I don't understand why people say grinding for mats takes to long. Takes no time at all to get them. Plus you can get glimmer while doing it. My biggest complaint is I have all these guns and armor that I cant upgrade because they screw you on ascendent materials. I have tried to find people to do the raid with but haven't yet. I do the weekly and daily stuff but never eatn enough.I have tried the nightfall but since I can't get my guns upgraded I can't get through it. Hell this app even says these things can be earned by playing the crucible. I have yet to see anybody get anything from that. Now I can't even get my faction rank up at a decent pace since they took this away. To all the people saying just do PVP, why couldn't you just farm for materials.

Theyre not forcing anything? Whatreason would you need to play crucible? The sub par weaponary? The legendary gear that you can get from vanguard? Terrible packages from leveling up? Or perhaps youre super desperate for ascendant materials when there is WAY..and i mean wayyyy more options to get them.

They indeed are forcing people to play PvP. Only way to buy fraction gear is with crucible marks. Now that players can't trade for marks, they have no choice but to play PvP to earn them if they want a gun like the calling from the future wars cult

yeah my bad someone just told me theyre needed for factions. I forgot. Cant you just slap on a faction mark and play tiger strikes for crucible marks or no? Im not sure

So you would rather spend an hour grinding 50 mats for 4 freaking crucible marks because you hate it that much? One crucible match takes 10 minutes lol. I wish they would give us more reasons to play it. I rarely ever played it until the recent iron banner, and sure I got wrecked at first, but once I learned the maps and adapted my playstyle I loved it. I'm sure 10x more people like this change than hate it. Every person I've talked to that quit playing this game had something to say about grinding for mats to upgrade your gear. I have no idea why anyone would whine about this update lol.

Yes because during farming I come across nice things like either seeds, blue prints, ascendant material, motes of light, public events and the occasional blue engram. Not to mention the glimmer. Much rather grind it out in PvE than to get frustrated with PvP and begin to hate the game like I have with other shooter games

It is forcing players to play PvP. If I want to purchase The Calling or The Culling from Future Wars Cult, I need crucible marks. Now the only way to earn them is PvP. PvP isn't fun when you only get 3 kills, die 18 times, and come no where near winning because some of your other teammates got 2 kills and died just as many times as you

But that's the thing you hate it because you're no good at it '-' and I've had my fair shares of bad games, no big deal. you get better over time and that's why you have to adjust your play style try different guns. Try different classes.

I'd try different guns but bungie took away my ability to purchase fraction gear without playing PvP. That's 5 weapons, per fraction that I can't purchase unless I cooperate. After years of suffering in Halo and Call of Duty PvP, I'm not getting any better. I'd rather invest my gaming time into something that I enjoy doing like chest hunting while waiting for public events than to be shot in the head, respawn and be shot in that same head 5 seconds later by a PvP vulture

I've never bought anything from dead orbit, New monarch, or fwc, all the perks Suck. This is why there are raids, nightfall, weekly. For a chance at more loot

I agree that strikes, raids, and nightfalls are great places to get faction's legendary gear but it's a game of chance on receiving what you want. I've been playing everyday since day one and I'm a fan of scout rifles. I've wanted "The Calling" but haven't found it in anywhere other than with the future wars cult. (Maybe you don't want faction gear but I'm not you. I like variety and options.) I know people complain about farming but I was able to farm the crucible marks at a faster rate than just hoping to receive "The Calling" by chance. I don't want to wait 3 months again to find a weapon when I use to be able farm the material for the weapon in less time.

It's not that big of a deal to me. I don't like doing tiger strikes because their boring I still do them when I need too. Also the vendors don't sell any good fraction weapons

Tiger strikes aren't the issue. It's crucible marks you need for other factions. Btw Devil You Know, A1, and Shadow Price are good vanguard weapons.

I'm talking about factions like dead orbit new monarch the ones that require you to wear the class item crucible and vanguard have nice perks on some weapons but that's it
