How is Send It the redundant upgrade on Hawkmoon?
I understand the concept of removing upgrades that have similar boosts, but why you would remove Send It instead of Hammer Forged.
Send It added more range to the gun than the other one, even if it was only slightly.

1 Replybecause a weapon that already had maxed range doesn't need a range increase perk. i dont have hawkmoon but i do have ice breaker, and i have the +2 agility perk on now and having that range perk switched out has not changed I.B. damage at all

1 ReplyI don't know , maybe because a hand cannon shouldn't kill you from the other side of the map ..? God knows how many times I got killed by hawkmoon and the guy was almost halfway across the map . Might as well use a sniper if you are from that distance .

Send It was also removed from Icebreaker due to redundancy with the explanation there being that Icebreaker was already at max range. Maybe the Hawkmoon is already at max range too and therefore Send It is redundant.

Agreed. It seems like a slight stealth nerf was the intention. I'm not that happy about it :/

Does this make Timur's Lash a better option for those ranged kills now? Seems to me that the TL already was almost on par with Hawkmoon and with the right perks was its equal in PvP at least. With Send It removed will TL overtake the throne Hawkmoon is sitting on for best Hand Cannon?

1 ReplyCompletely agree, Send It was the upgrade I used and it was far from redundant. It would make more sense to remove the less effective Hammer Forged upgrade. You have to wonder what the people who come to these decisions are thinking sometimes.

same here. i prefer "send it" over "hammer forged". But ye, noobs are crying so bungie nerfed it.

Agreed. I chose send it over hammer forged so I could squeeze the most range out of the beast. Slight nerf to Hawkmoon, sadly! It's still an awesome gun though ^_^

So you're saying the best gun (or at least one of the best) in the game got a slight nerf? No biggie then.
