Why is the M6D (I think that's the variant) Magnum not present in any of the games after Combat Evolved?

The gameplay mechanics and visual appearance of the Magnum has changed enough that it warranted new models in the canon. Because the mechanics and visual appearance of the Magnum never returned to something comparable to the Halo CE Magnum, it never returned in the games. However, that doesn't mean it was never used again.
