I'd like to point out that the satisfaction you are looking for would be found upon completion of the game, this isn't a game you can just play for 30 hours and finish, or "become legend". The fact is you may never finish this game, it takes years to become legend - not a few days worth of playtime. I'm not saying you are wrong, you are entitled to your own opinion and feelings but it seems what you are searching for would require some sort of endgame. The stage is set, the possibilities of where this game can go are endless as new content will be released and the game expands and evolves. I truly really like this game, but I am even more excited about what it will become. Hang in there, it may not be as bad as you think in the end.

  • uh, it takes about 6 hours to actually beat all the story missions and strikes, and that's if you're lazy about doing it. it's much faster with two friends helping out. beating every mission in a game is what finishing a game means. by doing everything, you have finished everything. so yeah, destiny is a game that's finish-able in less than 30 hours.

  • If you look at my first paragraph, I say six and a half days of true, in-game time. That's 156 hours put into destiny. That's more than five times "30 hours." But still, look at the forum this topic is in. The forum is called "Endgame." Just scroll up and look at the big word at the very top. It says "ENDGAME." Destiny clearly styles itself as having an endgame.

  • Get to level 30 and then what? Is that your legend? I see a lot of legends walking around in the tower with identical armor. Or do you become legend when you buy all the DLC and reach levels 32, and 34 respectively? What is Legendary here is how Bungie fooled us all.

  • Wanna become legend? Play Halo. There aren't hundreds of other players with you during the story. Or you could make the story of how you and your friends conquered the raid, or how you sniped that goblin that almost killed your teammates, or how you did that cool flip with your new sparrow, the game will never give us a direct story, because we make it ourselves. Its our choice if we become legends or not. (and if you're complaining about everyone looking the same, well its always like that in online games, heck even in real life.)

You sure have a really interesting concept of real life. And the whole "you create your own story" is a ridiculous marketing ploy to screen the shortcomings of Destiny's story. Look at Mass Effect with several different arcs and finales. Hell even Dragon Age has better than this. Worse yet is that you fell for it and now you're repeating it in the forums.

I'm not even going to tell you why your post is ridiculous marketer filth because you would come up with some asspull retort. I'm just going to let you know that you are.
