I'm a casual in the same boat, raided numerous times and only ever got the gauntlets, now I've got ib gear and need a raid chest or helm to hit 30. (Maybe a Queen's Wrath event to fill that out?) Charity is a strong choice of word, as you had to work pretty hard to get rank in ib. On a more practical and logical note. Make some friends. I had nobody on Destiny at launch, now my raid team are veterans helping other noobs get their bearings in the hallowed vault. We popped two cherries last week and they got Mad lucky with the drops.
