It's really sad that she went so young but what I find so heartless about this story is that her family had her hair cut, a suit put on her and made it an open casket funeral. This is one of the most disrespectful things I've seen in a long time.

Should have respected the individual. Brings up a thought though. Sense we can't alter our DNA, at least not well. Is the cosmetic and hormone therapy enough to get past what someone's DNA says. Ex, person is male at birth, feels like he is a woman, has complete sex change and hormone therapy, blood work is done years later. Blood still identifies individual has male. Is blood wrong? If not, then are we wrong calling him a male? Should we overlook the fact that he is male in respect of his wishes? If that's the case, is the "change" real or is it just real to that individual? I'm not saying one answer is right or wrong, just curious what you guys think.
