Except for the fact there is an explanation for the disappearance of the Precursors and Forerunners.

True, which is another reason why I hate Disney. We never know why the Celestials disappeared, only that they just left after their war with the infinite empire. At least KOTOR gave some background on how the Infinite empire collapsed though. Still it'd have been nice to know more about the Celestials :-/
