Why does it have to be SGA? Its really bad.

I would love to do such a thing but the Engram is the current idea, not a gun. I want to create something more realistic than a gun.

Something easier to create. A gun is very touchy and glitchy to make. IE: Not everyones gunnna like that 1 gun or not everyone wants to use that gun. A engram can give anything the programer deciders for it to drop. Making it a more open ended experience with less hate involved.
