Emile says no to the idea that energy swords can't cut through Spartans like butter. Light sabers can cut through blast doors and buildings ( slowly) while energy swords cannot. And commandos are far above the average clone as well. Plus, master chief is just lucky. He's not the strongest nor fastest Spartan.

Halo: Reach isn't canon, bad example, and energy Swords can slice through doors. Also, Master Chief is by far superior to all other spartans.
