The rings are there to kill the flood and anything they can inhabit. They can't infect droids

The rings. Do they destroy only life? Or just everything? If so.. those droids would be dead too. And I thought the Flood would still be around but with no food. Just as how a cockroach can survive a nuclear bomb.

It is explicitly stated that the Halos don't destroy the Flood. They destroy it's food. That being everything else. Also, the Flood can infect A.I., so the droids would not be immune.
