Seeing as I work full time and use said full time to pay off my loans for college, I'de say furthering your education in the USA is the opposite of the way to save money

Higher education will net you more money in the long run. It also helps if you don't study some abstract bullshit with no use in the work force. Early renaissance art isn't going to make you a fortune.
