Actually it destroys anything that the flood could take over. You would then suicide killing all of yall. But robots (droids) cannot be taken over by the flood and it only does that to the galaxy when Star Wars troops could still be at home in a galaxy far far away.

Then flood could take over droids actually. When the flood gets to a gravemind state it can control any technology with ease. It consumes only living matter, but gains all the knowledge of it's hosts at the same time.

The droids are not controlled from a place and the flood only controls living matter. Machines are not

I think it has been shown multiple times that droids are in fact controlled from places, e.i. ships in orbit. Unless, they are sentient. Are droid weapons good enough to burn away flood matter? Will droids matter if even one spore of flood survives a battle and starts over by landing on a plant?

The original 12 rings can park outside the galaxy and shoot it in a straight line. No suicide needed.

We already agreed on something

The Flood Logic Plague is the digital version of the Flood, capable of instantly turning all AI networks against their masters within proximity of the Flood (this is one of the key reasons why the Forerunners lost)
