I feel if 343I fleshes them out enough to prove their difference they could, but nevertheless, I agree.

I honestly would have preferred a shitty CGI Kig-Yar. Either that, or actually change the anatomy in some way. Add prosthetics to change the skull shape, give them 4 fingers, make them lanky and bony. Change their posture, give them alien clothing. I dunno... The Second Stories do help with their incorporation into the lore, but I'm reserved about them.
