I'm on Halo's side, but a note: almost all metals and solid materials can be melted/ dissintegrated by a lightsaber.

who says hey cant? By far, lasers are more effective because they're just as fast and do more damage. Ever heard of jedi armor? Plus they got the force. Im pretty sure if they can pick up large objects, they can stop bullets.

Just as fast? No. Visibly not. Any bullet he stopped with his lightsaber melts and becomes molten steel flying into his face. And neither a lightsaber nor the force can stop plasma weapons. Why not dual weild? Smg+plasma rifle= jedi killer
