I think they did.
didn't they transcend into slipspace?
idk.

Idk. They were killed off by the forerunners and all remnants of them were wiped out after the activation of the rings.
-
Wasn't it explained that the precursor remnant mutated into the flood?
-
It's more complicated, but basically. Ask LoA, compared to his knowledge I'm basic af.

Edited by Deleted User: 11/22/2014 4:55:50 AMI do believe they turned into a dessicated powder for a few million years, before being discovered by the Forerunners. The Forerunners, in turn, gave the containers of this to the Humans and San 'Shyuum (Prophets' race). The Humans used this powder on their pets at the time, and eventually some mutations began to appear, which became the flood. Didn't LoA relocate with the eventuation of b.lind?

You're talking about the 100,000 BC humans, like Fortencho, correct? If so, then yes. The forerunners had knowledge of what they were doing though, as they were in the middle of war with the humans. LoA is still here, I talk to him all the time. Try PMing him or talk to him in one of his threads.

I think it was before the Human-Forerunner War. Forthencho destroyed Forerunner planets that were beginning to show signs of infection, which initiated the War.

Edited by Mechetti: 11/22/2014 5:53:45 AMAlas, the forerunners must have known, as the forerunners had it unleashed upon them before.
-
From what I'd read, when Humans tested the Powder, they found nothing that suggested it would have any negative consequences long term.
-
As the precursors designed it.
-
Yep, as it was meant to be revenge against the forerunners, I doubt they knew of the source, either. Of course, LoA could probably blow everything I'm saying out of the water right now.
-
Same. The Archive guys knowledge put any of ours to complete shame.
-
I thought they let them do it.
-
They honestly had no choice.
