Even better! That way no one can complain about the obviously OP fists. No matter your subclass, fist is your primary.

I shouldn't spec for force barrier either should I? That over shield that requires a kill to obtain is just way to good!

Now you're getting it! You'll be getting friend requests from pretty much every activity you complete. The messages of friendship will be pouring forth in honor of your accepted play style. Ideally, you should start a new titan, then never upgrade any of your subclass abilities once you get your basic melee punch. Boom. God tier achieved.
