They signed a ten year contract saying they have to produce new content for that amount of time. I understand that we all are wanting more, but if they threw everything out at us at once the wouldn't make the ten years. Yeah it's getting a little stale doing the same thing constantly. And this idea sounds awesome. I'd like to see a mission where the fallen or something attacks the tower. In every good game at some point the enemy invades your base and you have to fight then off. It could be an event like queens wrath.

Like every now and then when you would go to the tower there could be vandals and dregs climbing the tower to get you, Respawning restricted and if you die your dead until the tower has been completely defended but it will only happen when there is 8+ guardians in the tower. You would spawn in a random location in the tower and you could have your own personal objective like to defend the speaker or defend an area from oncoming attacks.

Exactly, like what's stopping the vandals from dropping down from ships right into the tower? There could also be ship battles. Defending the incoming skiffs with our own ships.

There are MASSIVE anti-air turrets mounted on the wall. I would like to try one of those out though.
