It will probably not come off your plasma. I have one of the Panasonic plasmas. Amazing picture quality, but ESPN and abc logos burned in during the first 3 months. They are slowly going away a year later (only use it for movies now). I wouldn't play video games on it. I bought LCDs for my consoles and sports. I don't think you would be safe unless there was no hud, no marking of any kind that is continuously displayed. Plasma is going to die off at some point not too far out I think.
