I thought it was impossible for his current form to be composed.

  • As Roberto pointed out, there is a reason on how he was Composed. The writing team just has yet to incorporate it into any available lore. This reason was acknowledged by Brian Reed himself, who is the one responsible for making the Didact immune in the first place.

  • Okay just looked it up on halopedia and it confirms what you said. Sucks to be him I guess but at least his consciousness is still around and we will likely see it in halo 5

  • Halopedia is non-canon. It's good to use to refresh your memory, but check the citations to make sure it checks out. Now that the MCC has launched, I suggest you check Halo Waypoint first when looking for Halo info.

  • The circumstances are different. Here we had 6 composers blowing up on him at once. Presumably it overrode his immunity but no one knows for sure. Rest assured his immunity has been acknowledged by the writers so there is a reason.
