So if there was one gun I wanted since the beta, it would be the Hawkmoon. I fell in love with the design and I knew it would be the weapon I would use for a long time once I get it.
I have yet to acquire it, but I have seen in a random roll drop in the crucible (the guy who got it did terribly, go figure) which really made me sad.
But HERE is where the real kick to the nads comes. One of my friends who doesn't even like to use handcannons, has gotten the Hawkmoon, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES (and I was with him for 2/3 times). I felt so beaten by the system that I considered to just move on to Call of Duty or something.
Anyone else know the pain of just barely missing out on your dream gun?

I played a crucible match, and the guy below me won Hawkmoon. I was on the verge of tears. I was saltier than the Dead Sea! I've used hand cannons so much and Hawkmoon would be a crowning jewel. That's what would make me feel like I've won the game!

I have two of my dream guns and I didn't even dream of them before I got them: Vision of Confluence and Icebreaker At the moment I would be really happy over Corrective Measure, Gjallahorn or Hezens Vengeance.

I'm on Xbox and i'd kill for Hawkmoon... So, yeah, I know your pain. =(
-
I want the Hawkmoon a lot also but Sony and Activision are assholes and I'm on Xbox.

Being beaten by "the system" applies not only in Destiny... On a side not I just got my Hawkmoon today playing skirmish. This and the Monte Carlo are the only two exotics that have ever dropped for me since launch.

I know that feel bro. Same thing happened to me. My friend got two hawkmoons during nightfalls we did together.
-
How do you know if it's so good if you never used it?
-
Sack up son. Get back out there and get your fancy pea shooter.

Ya i was in crucible, and 4th game in, someone finds hardlight. I was very happy for them ( they were like 2nd or 3rd on leaderboard ) then 2 games later, someone else finds MIDA multitool and i was kind of losing it ( they were probably 4th on the leaderboard ) and the only good things ive gotten from RNG are 2 legendary engrams, one even turned out to be blue :(
