Okay, a sincere question. Why is it that in all of the classic Halo games, we had to still use bullets even though our race/technology had progressed over 500 years into the future

  • Non-canon reason: Humans in Halo are essentially late 20th century marines thrust into space. It is done so that humanity is easily recognizable and feels highly relatable. Canon reason: Humanity is/was spread across 800+ colonies. Evenly distributing the more advanced tech is nigh impossible. However, guns and bullets can be produced in literally every human friendly environment. So it is the most common and widespread.
