Does bioshock infinite count as recent? Cause I would say that game nailed it.
-
Non destiny bump
-
Skyrim, and Borderlands 2.
-
Mass Effect 3 Loved that game so much especially the Multiplayer. Ending didn't bother me so much,it had to end someway

Hyrule Warriors imo. Skyward Sword before that. Nintendo is perfect with building hype.

Wolfenstein Kinda watch dogs And inquisition better live up to my hype
-
Dark Souls 2 Frick the haters, it's fantastic in a lot of ways
-
Mass effect 2 and Deagon Age Inquisition is promising from what I've played so far.
-
BioShock: Infinite It didn't look exactly like some of the early trailers, but in the end they gave us everything they said they would in that game
I still stand by the ending being more of a mind -blam- than the original BioShock
-
Sunset Overdrive. Hyped up to be a crazy, fun third person shooter. Is a crazy, fun third person shooter.
-
Skyrim :)

Edited by High Charity: 11/14/2014 3:54:52 PMHalo 3 did it's job rather well. GTA 5 also did, until the Heists never happened in GTA Online. Black Flag exceeded what I expected, and Skyrim blew everything I had thought out of the water.

GTAV... as far as the three protagonist aspect goes. I didn't think they would be able to pull it off, to be honest.
-
Halo 4 in my opinion.
