Earners vs. Xurners -- lets end this now!
We all know the only way to earn gear is to put in the time and get it from raids or strikes etc from engrams.
Why do people persist to say getting coins is earning the exotics. They might as well put up a free sign and just have Santa Xur give you what ever you want while sitting on his lap.
Basically your a mouth breathing casual if your buying the trash from Xur. People need to put in the work and go do a raid for once in their life. You know a boss fight .. derp
People complaing about stuck at 29 are in the same casual boat. Do work like us 30's did you lazies. We weren't sitting at Xur feet waiting for scraps... we were killing bosses

5 RepliesYou're a f*cking troll. Everyone knows that people who get lucky as sh*t through RNG (some of them anyway) will always think they earned their gear. You are no exception. However your arrogance on thinking that people who buy their gear don't run bosses is laughable at best. I run end game content all the time, both hard and normal raids, nightfall, and weekly heroic. I have RNG earned two of my EIGHT exotic weapons which were the MIDA and the Thunderlord. I've done no less work than you or anyone, I just haven't been blessed like you RNGers supposedly have. F*ck off

Why you ask? I complete nightfall and heroic strikes to earn strange coins I also do some heavy grinding to earn strange coins. So when I purchase an exotic from xur I earned it. When I just land on a patrol on earth or wherever it may be and kill a random lvl 5 and get a legendary drop that turns out to be an exotic I call that luck. So let's get this straight buying from xur is earning. Getting it else where is luck. The one true way to earn is by completing exotic weapon bounties or the raid.

Honestly I wish coins were as hard to get as motes. Because If I just do the weekly on 2 of my characters I'm only a few engrams away from a weapon. Motes however are hard to get and mainly require getting experience.

3 RepliesOnce again, RNG is not earning. Something randomly being given to you doesn't mean your talented or work harder than anyone else. You are not any better than me because you were lucky enough to get a item to drop when I had to buy it with coins.

The last word was my first exotic, got it from a nightfall. If people are running the weekly two or three times to get coins, then they in fact earned it. You earn the strange coins. What's the difference?

Lol people complaining about "I actually earned my last word" someone got the last word in the night fall yesterday and was complaining that he "earned" it. However I ran the nightfall 5 times only to get stange coins every run. So I run the nightfall 4 more times then you to get enough coins to by the last word and your mad at me for not "earning" it.... Ok bud

So a crappy friend joins for Normal VoG but gets carried through and gets exotics from chest and Atheon while everyone else gets crap? Real earning right there.... So a guy joins tiger strikes, dies a million times, kills maybe 5 enemies/goes away at start...doesnt do anything but gets an exotic while the other two get crap? Real earning right there...... So a guy opens a chest, gets a legendary engram which turns to an exotic? Real earning right there.... But i take the time to do 3 Weekly Heroics at Level 28 with who knows what modifier on, get 27 coins and buy an item from xur and yet thats not earning??? Im sorry. But when i go to work (weekly heroic) and put in the time, i deserve to get paid (strange coins) and buy whatever the hell i want with my money (exotics). The guy who stands on 'break' all day (noob) and doesnt do his job (strikes, raid, etc) but yet gets given stuff like that? "Oh here you go nooby, you get a promotion! While the other people who actually work are just suckers!" Im sorry. But buying is earning. No different than real life. You do the work, you get paid, you buy your shit.

(Spoiler will start the firestorm) Frankly, RNG exotics [spoiler](and by that I mean those received from raid as well)[/spoiler] go right in line with Xurned to me if there is truly a difference between earning and getting from Xur. Right now I have Truth that I supposively earned based on what I have seen. How did I get it? Legendary engram from leveling up the cryptarch. The thing is lvl 6 cryptarch is so small in comparison to other players I have seen. Sorry but this doesnt feel much "earned" to me. In order to purchase the weapons from Xur, you have to collect strange coins with weekly heoric being a popular choice of getting it. Are these coins not earned? This is what lead to my comment earlier. If you do not feel that those coins are earned which is used for the sole purpose and buying from Xur then how is your exotic RNG drop from VoG any different? I contend that it isn't. It is just another task (yes I know if is difficult even though I have not completed it), but that is it. It is another play mode that has exotics as the possible reward for completing. So what is earned? Bounty exotics. I am going to feel a sense of pride in completing my first bounty and feel I earned my 2nd exotic more than RNG going my for once. For those that read the whole thing, i have no issue with how exotics a received. Just sick of seeing it one side against the other with no real logic for the argument.

So you got an exotic weapon from beating the nightfall. I beat the same nightfall and got 5 coins. I had to do the weekly and a bunch of tiger strikes to get more coins to buy that same exotic from xur that you got from that one nightfall win. You didn't earn that exotic. I did.

Every time I did a nightfall I just did what everyone does and sat in the same spot where it was hard for enemies to shoot me and pressed a trigger for 20 minutes is that hard? Was it hard when I got Hard Light in the crucible? -blam!- no I did well but I could have gotten last place and still gotten it. The point is when something is based on chance you could have put in 1 day and gotten lucky and got two exotics while I could play for a month straight and only gotten 1. That is not fair 23 coins is a grind it is doing a lvl 28 mission twice plus 5 more coins through your precious RNG if RNG is the way to earn I got my coins through that and grinding for that many coins through RNG is equal to one exotic trough RNG plain and simple. Do you expect me to get something that is part of the game and never spend it? I sure as he'll bet you spent yours at one point Note: regardless of the sarcasm tag which is annoying get something better to do with life then piss people off. This still applies to all whining about the last word

Being stuck at 29 has nothing to do with being casual and being 30 has nothing to do with being hardcore and putting in the hours of gameplay. Same goes for having exotics and if there is something xur has I haven't had the luck to get I buy it , I've put in the time and don't care who has what or how they got it. Play the game and stfu and stop posting bs on the forum so the rest of us can maybe read and post something useful.

And thats it from nightfall. I need 5 more exotic weapons and i earn my ass off, so if xurs sellin... im buyin. Tlw ftw.
