help! packet loss= disconnect

Hey so I've been having errors and disconnects for about 2 months now and I was previously convinced that bungie or my ISP was at fault because everything worked but destiny...anyway recently I went through the hassle of bypassing my new net gear router and plugging my Xbox one directly into my modem and low and behold, 0-1% packet loss and no more disconnects, with my router in I get anywhere from 5-30% packet loss and the subsequent disconnect issues... Does anyone have any idea how to fix this as I've tried everything I can think of

  • What make of router is it? Firstly, check what setting the firewall on your router is set too. Have you tried setting up the routers dmz and placing your console in the dmz? You'll need to give your xbox a static ip for this.
