Then I would have to say I would not have any regrets at all. If new evidence comes to light in the future, well... there's not much I can do about that, but I would stand firm in my conviction that I made the best decision at the time. Let me ask you this: if you were a passenger on a plane that crashed and everyone aboard died, yourself included, assuming you were still able to think after you died, would you regret your decision in boarding the plane, even though nobody knew at that time it would crash?

It may not be logical to regret boarding the plane, but you probably would anyway. People often regret things that they had no control over. And even if you don't regret getting on the plane, there would be many other things you would regret.
