What would it take for you to become any other of the hundreds of different religions? What would it take you to not believe in your god? Why do you choose to worship one god instead of another? Why do you laugh at the idea of someone believing in Zeus or Poseidon when your god may be viewed in the same light years from now? I personally don't worship because it seems demeaning to me and offensive. (Why should I live my life in fear of doing something wrong and be under the constant scrutiny of some higher being hoping I get his blessing to be let into some pearly gated sanctuary)

I think much of the problem is the complete lack of knowledge or understanding of Christianity. I also find it interesting that most Western people (Americans at least) still believe in outdated and discarded methods of finding knowledge and truth. The Enlightenment died a hundred years ago. Hard science cannot give us the truth. Only facts.

Hard science are facts...

That's what I said. Truth and facts are not the same thing. Facts can lead to the truth, but truth itself is not just facts. At least not in the sense that hard science presents them. Science gives no explanation to the fundamental truths of existence, only how it all works.
