  • It's a mentality and based on wether or not you're sticking with your team. If you bolt ahead, you're a runner. If you stick it out with the slow movers, you're a completionist. I'm with you. I sparrow up and hit the checkpoints too, when everyone else wants to do that. I assume that the higher kill count is attributed to hitting the first waves of checkpoint mobs first before others arrive on scene. Look at the devils lair. If you get in there early enough you can rocket and mop up a ton of kills before your 2 team mates... Same goes for summoning pits. Skip all the starting mobs, activate the door and start hitting the spawn doors of the main room. You'll definitely have more kills.

What if you simply have level 300 weapons and don't feel like waiting for people to catch up because they want to kill mobs in the public areas. I have no problem killing every single mob in the darkness, and typically do solo but I'm not waiting for other people to doddle along in the process...

  • Thus my post. Your logic is sound. It just doesn't match up to the entire community. Right now, roughly 1/3 of the readers take their time. That's a pretty large percentage (proper sampling aside). Some people just can't be persuaded to do something any other way. It's just WHO they are. Well, the effort it would take to argue and debate with that individual wouldn't be worth the time to convince them. It's arbitrary at the end of the day. At least now, the community is able to understand that there is a legitimate wall between these 2 play styles. Basically: Identify, adapt, overcome, or quit and do it with friends that play like you. Thanks for commenting.

I'm a completionist myself. I do feel pressured whenever my two teammates would dart off ahead, clearly in a hurry to complete the strike. Good point though, adapt or simply leave the game. No one's doing it wrong, only idlers are definitely a no-no.
