Huh? I don't get it. How would removing the radar, making better maps, auto joining voice chat for fire teams, making special ammo rarer , reducing the speed that supers charge at, taking out the ability to pre charge the fusion rifle, balancing the rep/token rewards, actualy having people play as part of a team when in team based games, making the bounty system relevant to what was available and including a better reward system for players that score well make the game into Quake 3 Arena or unreal tournament? Those both used totally different game mechanics, standardised weapons, linear levels that were less imaginative than the ones we have just now, no class abilities, no perks, and no rewards. Did you even play Q3Arena or UT?

 •
totally different game mechanics, standardised weapons, linear levels that were less imaginative than the ones we have just now, no class abilities, no perks, and no rewards.
That's literally what I read out of your words. :-) No offense man, but: * I like the radar, learn to use it. I forget it most of the time and that's a disadvantage. * What about the moon map? That's a complete sniper map. * Although I never get anything good from RNG, I still like the idea, that skill doesn't count. Altough I get the feeling, no skill is prefered by RNG, which is also not good. I never saw the first player getting an exotic. * You're right with the special ammunition, but I like the variety thats possible than. AR, Fusion, Shotgun... all the same to me, with advantages and disadvantages in certain areas. * Oh please god, NO! I don't want to hear the other players, for what I read here is already more, than I can stand! * Maybe you have a point in the supers recharge... but that's also something, I try to push with my gear. * Again, it's an advantage or disadvantage... you hear a fusion rifle for miles, no radar needed. * No teamwork, no win in my opinion! * I like your idea of a a league based system for the Crucible. * The rep system is just a time sink, I agree on that. * Shotguns are easily countered by... shotguns! * Then just drop it. :-) I was over-interpreting your ideas, but still, I don't agree with some of it.

 • Yeah, I'm not saying to wipe the things I raised, it's just that, when all of these things come together, it seems to me like the Crucible was almost an after thought, like two guys at the watercooler one afternoon (proposed conversation below). I wasn't taking offence, I just couldn't understand how you got where you did from what I said :-) I know that "you can't please all the people all the time", or even most of them most of the time usually, and I'm not really referring to anything drastic for the most part. *I do use the radar, mainly in rumble, but I feel cheep every time I do (I play Blade Dancer...you can see where I'm going) without the radar up all the time you instantly reduce the effectiveness of Arc Blade without having to nerf the hunter subclass in any way, *I know what your saying about the moon map, but TBH every time I've played it it's been at least 80% combat in the middle sections, where it's much the same as other maps, and obscured from any decent sniping spots. Waiting for respawns to run pased to get back into the action is both tedious and cheep as I look at it. *I'm not saying that you get nothing unless you come in the top 3% of the winning team : just that, unless you place with a decent score, you're only gonna get blues or a new paint job. To get the good booty, you need to perform - otherwise people will eventually just AFK, wrapping a rubber band around their analogue sticks to keep from being sent back to orbit so they get "free" legendarys. *I'm not saying I want to see it as little as heavy ammo, but to have only one box at a time on the map (and always one box) it could even lead to some fun bottlenecks as people try to get those all important rounds for their shotties and FRs. *Obviously there would be the option to mute members of the fireteam, but the point would be that you are working with people towards the same direct objective - communication is rumored to help in these situations... ;-) *The supers charge rate is just an idea to make them more "super" and less like the main source of kills for some players, same for the special ammo. *I never hear a fusion rifle unless I'm trying to wield it : I only noticed that it could be charged like that by seeing the charge light at the end of a team mates in one game of skirmish. *yeah - why I would like to see more of it! :-) *good to agree on something lol *ok, two things then *Oh I know, This one is purely personal - I hate the boring repetition of fighting this way (lets face it, there's enough of that already). * I did, would have been nice if the space in the bounty office was ocupied by something I could actually take and complete however - Like a "Die many, many times in the crucible" That one I could ace in no time. Afore mentioned suspected Dev conversation: D1 : "So glad we got that last render behind us, that was a ball breaker" D2 : "Yeah man, makes me wanna go online and Kill some people in game" D1 : "Shame you cant do that in Destiny" D2 : "Yeah....you know, we should totally add a PvP section to the game" D1 : "Oh yeah, and have some sweet rewards for the people who play it", D2 : "Yeah, that would be sweet, but they would have to be random, because I was on this forum the other day and everyone was like 'It's not fair!! I cant get the items form the PvP area because I'm no good at it' and we could probably get a lawsuit these days for being elitist if we do that!" D1 : "Fair point...you know what, lets make one then, I've even got a cool name for it" D2 : "But...it's like 3 weeks to project announcement, that's not enough time" D1 : "It will be if we just re-use what we've already got for the rest of the game" D2 : "Ohh yeahh! Then as they both start to walk back to their cubicles : D2 : " So what's this name you've thought of..?" D1 : "I was thinking 'The Mortar and Pestle', 'cause it's going to be a grind. clever, huh?" D2 : "hmm...yeah, makes sense I suppose, tel you what: lets take it to marketing and see what they think."
