I'm sorry.
New and Different are DEFINITELY words you shouldn't be using when describing Destiny. (The actual game Idea revolves around mashing together different pre-existing ideas from pre-existing games)
And repetitive is DEFINITELY not a word to use when describing the Halo series. (But sure, way to criticize a game from the same company that brought you Destiny, and the game that basically gave birth to the real FPS, and... the game with one of the most captivating stories in history to come from a video game, but yea... go ahead and bash Halo)
But I understand why you're so quick to jump to this games defense. And that's perfectly fine.
All I'm saying is that with an onslaught of new games coming out, Destiny WILL be pushed aside.
Try to resist Borderlands 1.5, Shadow of Mordor, Dying Light, The Witcher 3, Halo 5, Mortal Combat X, Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Star Wars Battlefront (III), and quite a few more.
But if you want to pretend like no new titles are attractive, that's totally fine with me. Just keep farming those Ascendant Shards!
OH but wait, guess what? They're adding TWO NEW ITEMS to farm for upgrading exotic gear! That's right! Instead of just ascendant energy and shards, you get two new items to farm that are necessary for upgrading the final two slots of exotics.
Have fun repeating the same strikes and story missions over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over....

Go be obviously never been a diablo or wow fan. Its all about that grind! And us rpgers love the grind

Dude, I presented more than one argument. It's a lack of respect to reply with one sentence portraying an assumption about another persons gaming history and then slapping an opinion about grinding gear on it.

Edited by DecayedExistence: 10/31/2014 3:40:35 PM^^^ this guy must've never played Unreal or doom... "Gave birth to real FPS"... Laughable.

I meant the system Bungie focused on. Two weapons, grenades and melee. Their golden formula for FPS. They mention it multiple times in the ViDocs on some of the Halo games. I'm not saying Halo was the first nor the game to perfect the genre.... just that it spawned a lot of franchises that copied the play-style. Btw... in my humble opinion, there is, and never will be, anything as good as Goldeneye. The good ol' N64 Goldeneye.
