It'd be nice if platform was literally a personal choice based on console offerings (not games but the other stuff) and controller preference. The biggest thing that could be done would be games like destiny that are cross platform could share servers so at any point an Xbox one, ps4, and last gen players could all be running a strike together.
Alas, capitalism and market competition also has its long term development benefits as well, it's just obvious when things are looked at for fiscal purposes only and not gamer experience.

Have u seen psn servers? I wouldn't wanna b on those ever lol,
-
No it wouldn't be a Sony/Microsoft it'd be a megaserver owned and operated by the designer/publisher...but its just an idea
-
I like the idea a lot. I have thought about that before when 360 and PS3 first was released. Need to get everyone on the same online.
-
Yea let everyone play the game together and the consoles just be an extension if you're choice
-
I feel that if a "megaserver" was made it would only b done through a merge of companies and the prices would b high for gaming. But I think that we will see completely new ways to game before that could happen. Not that I wouldn't love being able to game with all my friends no matter the platform, I just don't see it happening in my lifetime...n I'm only 23..
-
i dunno bro i remember pong k :) they have come a long way in my lifetime you just wait
-
Yea, wanting something and it actually happening are two different animals.
