Only FR kills count, be sure to have one with the proper damage modifier for the Nightfall. Go in alone, that way all the kills are yours. Get to a darkness zone, or at least one with Lvl 28 enemies. Kill everything with your FR until you're out of ammo, return to orbit, rinse and repeat.

Or switch weapons, kill more enemies, and collect special ammo and continue.....genius

Or you could spend some money on synths and not worry about ammo
