Suros has invaded the crucible

Suros Regime. What a gun. I picked one up on thursday as a random drop. Took a look at its abilities and thought to myself man this would be ridiculous in the crucible. Good thing its a rare drop. This morning I run to the tower to see what Xur is selling and lo and behold Xur has Suros Regime and now half the people in the crucible are running around with this ridicukous auto rifle. I half dont even whant to go in now. I feel this weapon is a little too powerful for pvp and felt I had no choice but to equip my own just to keep up with everyone else. Now I feel dirty whenever I kill someone with it and discover He was one of the few too poor to afford one. sorry im rambling but seriously is this weapon just too much for pvp? EDIT as there seems to have been some confusion with my statment let me clarify something. When I first got the gun I considerd it too unfair for pvp and diddnt use it. Once the gun became commonplace I felt I had no choice but to use it to keep up with everyone else

  • **DISCLAIMER: I'M TERRIBLE AT PVP AND HAVE A TERRIBLE K/D** It's not necessarily over-powered. It's over-used which leads to the misconception of it being overpowered. If you played the Crucible today and died 1,000 times, let's say 500 of those were from Suros and 500 were not. (No clue if these numbers would be accurate but just go with me for this example). You would not immediately recognize what gun killed you for the other 500 until you looked at your death screen (unless it happened to be immediately recognizable - TLW, Thorn, Icebreaker, etc). However, for the 500 deaths that WERE from Suros, you'd know it immediately because of how recognizable the sound, the shooting mechanism, and everything is. So because you'd specifically remember that gun killing you, it feels like a bigger portion of your deaths are from that, leading you to believe you mostly only die from Suros. Which, isn't true, unless you just meet someone who is really good with it, in that case I'd personally wonder why they aren't using a better gun and doing way better with something that outplays Suros (there's plenty of guns out there that do).
