Hunters have little raid support qualities. Titans can throw up a shield, Warlocks can grant Song of Flame to their allies, but Hunters have nothing of the sort (yet). So when he says they are 'useless' he probably means they are 'useless' to him, and in that regard, they are. It will be nice for Hunters to get some raid support in a future sub-class. Oh, and your stealth-resurrecting point becomes completely invalid when you consider hard mode.
