Hunters have little raid support qualities. Titans can throw up a shield, Warlocks can grant Song of Flame to their allies, but Hunters have nothing of the sort (yet). So when he says they are 'useless' he probably means they are 'useless' to him, and in that regard, they are.
It will be nice for Hunters to get some raid support in a future sub-class.
Oh, and your stealth-resurrecting point becomes completely invalid when you consider hard mode.

I hear the new subclass is a "trapper" and can slow enemies, etc. Sounds more helpful.

I think that was a rumor on reddit. But, it does sound neat. I read the same thing.

I'm a hunter, but I have to admit that Hunters are the worst class for raiding.

Fair enough

Not trying to dis Hunters or anything (even if their jump pisses me off sometimes!), but Bungie really needs to give them something a raid *needs* so they are not the class that is *optional*. I'd be perfectly happy leading a raid with 3 Titans & 3 Warlocks. Hunters just currently have nothing that a raid *needs*, and that's the problem.

Raid was beaten by a team of all Hunters... Just sayin' :-P But yea I agree they need some raid support.

Titans to some degree also can be considered 'optional'. I'm referring to Hard here, of course, not normal. Warlocks can self-resurrect, which in Hard is almost a necessity, because mistakes happen. A 2/4 Titan/Warlock raid is almost ideal, because two shields is incredibly useful, but even a raid of all Warlocks would be a walk in the park because mistakes don't mean a raid wipe.
