Disagree 9001% about the level 27 thing. Level 26 is the recommended level for a reason, all except the second to last encounter and the final boss, level 26 is as good as level 30. That said, even level 25 works. Raids are not supposed to be a walk in the park. Excluding people because they are slightly lower leveled is just lame - skill matters more than level to a pretty significant degree and people deserve at least a chance to show they can hold their own. Of course, they do have a huge damage and health reduction in that final room with the level 27 enemies, but it's perfectly possible to manage in that room as a 25, let alone a 26. Most of that other stuff is agreeable though. It's also just a lot more fun with mics... Oh, and if someone is a "leader" in the group, people should actually listen to them - or discuss what they think at a good moment. It's always a bit of a pain when people want to do their own thing when it's a team fight.

  • You can run a raid with a full team 26, but these players have to be experienced in vog. And believe me anyone with this experience is already past 26. Anyone below that just wants to see what's inside without prior knowledge of what's going on.

  • I have "that experience", I'm finishing maxing my 2nd char to lvl 30 but my Titan is only lvl 26 still bc of unlucky drops...and my Titan always has a hard time finding groups just bc of his lvl.

  • They don't "have" to be experienced. It's fun to walk people through mechanics. All I'm saying is that it's not like there's some time crunch you have to meet in order to have beaten the raid... If a group of 25s and 26s struggles but wins, that's way cooler than a group of 27s beating it in an hour and not being happy about their 4th chatter white. I would rather play with people that just want to experience the raid.

  • I'd believe you if you were to fight bosses legit

  • That's the only way I ever fight them. Cheesing is boring and pointless. It makes no sense to play a game and then cheat yourself out of the experience of playing it. Seriously, in what game ever has it been fun to just have a friend ohko the final boss for you?

If you have one level 26 that you are teaching or even a level 27 it makes it hard. Believe me my group of guys carried me my 1st time as I knew squat; that's when I was level 27. I can't imagine taking more than one person that level...I understand everyone needs to learn but taking it more than one 26/27 would be a nightmare. Like the OP said... think of the group as a whole.

  • Disagree with this completely. Me and my friend were 28/27 who had not done the Raid in a team with a few who had and we fit in just fine with only a little guidance. Ultimately it comes to your capacity to learn, listen and your ability in the game.

  • That's true, but in thinking of the group as a whole, it would just be bad to bring a bunch of bad listeners more than anything. A group of 25s could beat the raid if they all listened to the experienced 25, provided they're decent. The raid is supposed to be a struggle for first timers. Maybe it has gotten to the point that it's on farm for a lot of players, but it's supposed to be hard. It really does just depend on what your group wants. If you're going for a quick run, bringing in a level 25 new guy wouldn't be fun... But I enjoy playing with new lower leveled players because they're actually happy to get the same stuff that other guys insist on complaining about.

  • Level 26 isnt as good as a level 30 as a level 30 will have a higher defense and is less likely to die. Yes you can complete a raid with a level 25 but the other 5 guys will be carrying him through the raid.

  • I pulled through when my hunter was only a 25.i was pretty experienced with the raid at that point, though. I was about middle of the pack when it came to kinda, but that's saying something with the 43% dps nerf

Defense rating really only helps negligibly. Also, a 25 can do fine. It's about learning and playing well. I've carried people playing as a 25 :p I mean yeah, level 30 is better, but it's not required whatsoever.

Not required but I'd rather have a level 30 rather than a level 25 if they have the same experience.

  • Yeah, if all you're worried about is winning then that's definitely the way to go. I just prefer the more fun players, and less experience usually means more fun
