Well looks like I'm never allowed to do the raid according to you, and I can't get above level 25 let alone 26.

looks like you need to grind the tiger strike playlist, earn vanguard marks and buy vanguard gear. you can get to 26 with just un-upgraded gear. so sir, that is on you for not being bale to do the raid. to get full vanguard gear it will take you 4 weeks to get to be able to buy a set of vanguard gear, and if you buy an exotic it will only take you 3. so get to that grind buddy. you can do it! and if you need help, you have my gt. just send a message.

Not just him, anyone. Out of the 10 odd times I did it there was only 1 25 once and he was pretty useless due to not being to deal much damage

I have all three classes at level 28 and have never done the raid.

get your vanguard/faction to level 2 qnd buy a whole set of legendary gear its not that difficult thats what i did. then when you go to the vault of glass ull get a shit ton of ascendant material to level that up until u eventually get some raid gear

i was 27 before i did my first VoG. rank up your factions son and then level those armor pieces up. you can get to at least 28 when you upgrade everything

You can get Ascendant Materials from completing Public Events www.destinypublicevents.com And you can get them from the Daily Heroic strike at higher difficulty levels. You can also get them from breaking down legendary gear. You can purchase legendary gear with Level 2 curible / vanguard / FWC / New Monarchy / Dead Orbit etc Faction rep. My advice, only level up legendary and exotic gear. Its a waste of time and materials to level up rare and below. I hope this helps!
