It's amazing how much effort and seriousness people put into something that offers NO reward in real life other than to pass time and forget about how horrible one's day job is. I'm with you on the reasons why you play and it's the same for me. I won't do VoG because I don't put that much damned work into something unless I'm getting paid to do it. 11 hours in lab just to come home exhausted at 10pm and VoG? NO THANKS.

raids have always, and always will be, for the hardcore gamers (and im talking about raids in general for ALL RPGs, not just destiny) ffxi raids (dynamis and sea) took 6 - 10 hours to complete depends on the raid, those raids were scheduled on weekend mornings to evenings obviously you are not that into games, so dont put too much stock in vog or this thread
