I sit out on the ledge as ships land and take off and look down into the last city. There are skyscrapers, neighborhoods, parks; and I imagine citizens strolling in and out of the shops going about their business as their heroic guardians strut among them in their wargear. Does the cryptarch run a university down there? Maybe there are post offices with postmasters just like Kadi or maybe Amanda has a hovercraft shop for the average citizen.
But most of all I wonder about the Traveler. What's it like to stand under it's magnificence? Gaze in awe at it's sheer size as ghosts flit about its surface. Would it be as spectacular as the Halo ring perhaps? Why can't we see it? Going into the city would be an amazing experience and traveling to earth to take a break from the constant battling and surviving would be so much fun.
But for now I sit on the ledge and wonder. Even slightly wishing for the Fallen to suck up the courage to mount an attack on the tower... or even the weather to change a little....
