Absolutely spot on, another point I'd like to add to your party chat paragraph is while your in a party and one teammate has a friend that IS NOT a member of the your fireteam jump into the party and they both have a sidebar conversation while your trying to communicate, it's disruptive to all the other players and I would not have brought it up if it was a isolated incident this has happened on multiple occasions.
