• What's the matter. Don't you find that rude language should not be accepted. Since kids also play destiny. I'm not a child by the way. I am just speaking for wider community.

 • The "Think of the children!" argument. Let's be honest, the only real reason why adults don't want children to hear "bad" words is because those children will naturally repeat them, which annoys adults. Children themselves mostly couldn't care less, as they still don't understand why they're "bad". All they do understand, pretty early on, is that they work like a charm when trying to get grown ups attention. When trying to prevent children from hearing "bad" language, we're not protecting them, we're protecting ourselves from being offended by their lack of inhibition. Anyway, about the idea of avoiding rude language as a requirement. We're all grown ups here. And those who aren't are playing this game in PSN and Xbox Live under Parental Control, or so they should (read: Terms of Use of such services), as both services are technically +18, meaning rude language is to be expected. If somebody doesn't want himself, or their children, to hear rude language, it's his|her responsibility to handle the issue with the tools provided just for that particular reason, not the community. Don't get me wrong, if a fireteam member lets me know that the chat is being heard over the speakers and there's children in the living room, i'll do my best to keep my language as polite as possible. I'm not a sociopath. I would ask, however, if using headphones is an option... just in case I fall off from those -blam!-ing vanishing steps again. (On a sidenote Isn't it cute that this site censors one particular word, in a way that even children would instantly recognize the word being censored, as it actually gets highlighted?) But if it's an adult that's getting offended, then honestly that person should be mature enough to understand the use of rude language in stressful situations.

 • Actually now that you put it that way. Well it seems that no matter what you do with children they are just pressured and brought up from wider community to swear. Well I work in childcare and we encourage children not to swear. Now I seem to wonder what's the point since once they finish primary school all they are going to do is swear because everyone else does. Well anyway all I was trying to say in my post is use it appropriately every once in a while not constantly swear. I myself have a skill to ignore it and not allow it to make myself say the words they say. I know it is impossible to completely get rid of rude language because it is impossible.

 • You superimposing your morals onto other people is what's the matter. If as a a parent you don't want your child to be exposed to "rude language", then don't let them play online video games with voice chat. And no, I don't think your views represent the wider community. In fact, I find it laughable.

 • And as a Jehovah's Witness language like that is unclean for anyone. What you find laughable is serious to me. So you would have kids swear their mouths out than let them live a life of respect.

 • Actually I am not a parent. I am a 20 year old female who hasn't even had my first boyfriend let alone marriage who works in childcare, I have had experience playing destiny where kids managed to join me while I do VOG with and and then someone from team swears more than 5 times in a sentence and they leave immediately. Btw if I find you abusing me on this forums I am a admin so if you push this post any further I will feel more inclined to eject you from thorny guardians. If you noticed your The only one on the forums making a scene from one comment I made based on my experience. I am a Jehovah's Witness so that is my main reason I chose that rule to be added.

 • I love slamming the door in your annoying faces. Also there is a mute button for a reason. Use it and quit whining on the forums about how people should follow your moral code. I hate self righteous shit stains like you.

 • Haha. Can't say that I'm surprised. Here is the take away: don't expect others to have the same worldview as you. No matter how much you want people to not use "rude language", you can't force them to. You can only control yourself. If it bothers you and your religious views, the only practical thing you can do is not expose yourself to it. Just my opinion :)

 • Don't really care what you think. I know you can't change people this is just a post and I based it on my opinion and that's that. Obviously you care about nothing but yourself. At least I think about others when I make a final decision. -___- Bye bye!!!
