My fellow Titans:

Let me set the scene for you; You're just wondering around, capturing some points in control, when you decide that popping your Ward of Dawn is a good idea. Good? Great. Now you have a viable way to defend the objective for a short period of time until it goes away. ..and by 'goes away' I mean that some cocky Hunter or a snotty Warlock has come along, used their respective Super Charge and now, 3 seconds after you popped it up to relax under with a spot of Titan Tea, you are sat naked, alone, and wondering where your dead teammates are. Can any of my brothers relate? Can anyone offer a suitable explination as to why our super is the weakest? When it is currently the only subclass that really promotes strategy. Rise with me, fellow Titans! Take back the Dawn! Fight for a buff!
..or don't, I'm not your mother.
Edit: This thread was made with a fun little theme to it to try and avoid all the usually negativity on these forums, so thanks for everyone for keeping it civil. Edit 2: I have the saint-14 helm, and usually do very well within my precious bubble. It just makes me a sad little Titan when the super gets taken down by another super. Edit 3: Im not saying that it shouldn't be taken down when a super is used against it. What I am saying is that it shouldn't kill everything inside. The warlock and hunter supers currently just fly through it as if it wasn't there.

  • Those hunters and warlocks are truly barbaric. Why must they insist on ruining tea time?

    • I agree, it should be buffed. Even in PVE I find myself not using it that much. Just when I get fired upon a lot, and even then as mommentary cover to buy me some time.

    • As a titan who likes to use the defender subclass in games of control, I have to admit I've been shifting back to striker as of late. It's too easy for my WoD to be popped (though I actually have had better luck with mine remaining intact than most it seems), and it is oh so satisfying destroying a bubble that just went up (especially when the titan who put it up is wearing the Saint-14 helm. So annoying having another titan drop his/her bubble on mine and suddenly I'm blind and quite thoroughly ******. It's almost like using WoD without that helm isn't worth it in PvP, and that should not be the case).

    • Other supers being able to get thru is definitely a flaw that should be fixed. I love my warlock, but there's no reason this unfair advantage should exist.

    • I certainly enjoy my Challenge Bubble (a bubble in which classy Titans challenge their foes to fisticuffs) and I know my teammates appreciate my Bubble of Safety (comes in handy when people go charging in only to absorb every single bullet known to mankind and leave me as the sole survivor). Perhaps I should start drinking tea in it as well.

    • And from the ashes I RISE!!!. I totally agree with you. I had a waritch drop a nova bomb that completely took out my bubble of life....hopefully our third subclass is Beastly......

    • The Ward of Dawn is a truly excellent super, under certain conditions. In PvE, this can dominate/save you and your team, especially when used in tandem with another Titan using Fist of Havoc (looking at this week's Nightfall). In PvP, if you use the super early on, or AFTER everyone pops their supers, it's a great way to shotty it up a notch and generate some mad orbs for your teammates. However, if you're trying to run-and-gun, go lone-wolf, or generally do anything BUT play a pillar-support role, it's uses are severely limited. That's the thing about it being so strategic, though, is that it's GREAT for support, but if you want to do any offense, you gotta change it up. This applies to the classes themselves, I think. From what I've seen, hunters are excellent in PvP, but can struggle (especially blade-dancer) in PvE. Titans are PvP/PvE balanced, for the most part. Warlocks seems to just utterly rock PvE, while sometimes struggling in PvP against Titans or hunters. It's all about strategy, though, and really knowing the tools at your disposal.

    • They should buff Alpha Lupi to add more support. And maybe another grenade that acts like a barrier that you can place wherever you like. Like the hard light shield from halo. Also perhaps a healing grenade or other ability for offering quick regen to allies.

    • OP, please make this a more serious post so deej can read it and we can hope for a buff. Defender would be good IF they were actual objectives you NEEDED to control. (You can control a flag on control without needing the bubble that just stays there for a while). For salvage, that thing is actually -blam!-ing usefull. In a way. Not entirely useful, but it has its promises (lol) (line from the straner) (i played too much I just realized it).

      • well, if your sick of being a girlyman titan you can always switch to striker, then you dont have to worry about a cowardly bubble.

          • Having played both Warlock and Titan quite a bit I don't see the problem with WoD being destroyed by another super, it's all circumstantial. If no one on the other team has a super up to counter WoD it lasts the full duration and provides a hell of a nice buff for that point you're trying to control. However, if I see a warlock coming I'm going to get ready to run the hell out of there before he uses his super, I'm not just going to stand there with my thumb up my ass and die. The current state is fine, nothing should change, just play smarter.

I agree, but managed to have a weird scenario last night where I put down my bubble only to see a Warlock fly into the air and use their nova bomb, only to have it fire above my head and miss. Completely went through the bubble and killed my team mates at the back of the bubble.

            • If we were resistant to other supers, we would be unbeatable in control. Just imagine if they could break out shield... Free capture point with any counter to stop you.

              • If you're concerned about faceroll supers, why not just go striker and get one of your own? And it's not like you can't see them coming, just pop out and stick them with a magnet grenade on their approach and at least you'll know they're toast too. btw: Novabomb can get stuck on doorways, walls, and columns all to easily, so you could plan your defense with line of sight in mind.

              • The fact that your enemies consider it necessary to spend their super just to negate yours is testament to its potential.

                • I actually think the Defender Titan super is amazing, but not when used as a "this is my safety dome lulz". Oddly enough, my Defender Titan is used best when it's used offensively. Force Barrier activates on kills, and I tend to pop the barrier in a corner where I don't have to worry about getting fired at from long distance, but I can dip in and out of to continue to refresh my Weapons of Light buff.
