Warlocks are better at cqc than titans. They can out melee anyone with their special melee that gives them an over shield on hit. They can also 1 hit melee anybody if they have their sunsinger active. Not only that but their voidwalker supers hit people through walls. They can zone out any location. They have infinite revives do to the glitch. Their melee is far too long ranged.

The classes are balanced. The gear is not. These are two separate issues.

For example Barrier Melee only recieves a shield on kill, but Sunsinger's melee grants shield on hit. Some classes require 90% more work to secure kills. Others can simply do a shoulder charge.

Your argument seems to be that warlocks are overpowered therefore other classes need better armour. That misses the point. The classes are well balanced. If the classes were not balanced, gear would not be the way to address that. And I am referring to specific anomalies in balance affecting certain items. Clearly, this is a case of some tweaks being needed to improve armour balance, and clearly not a case of Bungie trying to use gear as a way to balance classes as you suggest.
