There are a few shaders that obviously look better than most (God of War, the few black mixes, pure white). And i think they should be earned, otherwise everyone running around would look the same.
Like a bunch of level 5's running around with chatterwhite because they bought it, yet I had to do VoG to get it, (Even most 27+'s have), it still reduces the number of people.
Same with God of War which i was lucky enough to get through leveling my cryptarch. I think it would be unfair that i spent hours on end to get it, yet some level 8 was able to buy it at the shop

Haha, I didn't even think about that. But yeah, the main thing is that not all should be available to buy.

Isn't it only the shop ones and the 2 code ones for level 20? Plus from any events. I thought that the ones like beowolf, that you get from pvp and be equiped when ever

I would have no problem with certain shaders being hard to obtain and require certain accomplishments in order to have them. However, I would like to see a greater variety of colors available for purchase to allow at least some degree of personalization.

Eh.......chatterwhite is only from beating the raid. If a level 7 has it then it is from them having had a char already beat the raid. There is no location you can buy it from. Aside from those 4 in the guardian outfitter, all shaders must be earned in some manner.

In the OP it's saying you should be able to buy the shaders. I'm trying to say that until there are a lot more shaders or better customization, the way to get shaders should stay the way they are.

Ah, I missed that part. My apologies. I think they should have more to buy, but having the ability to buy those which are obtained through means of leveling or beating something should not be available in any shop. The best method would be something like I saw on an MMO I played not long before this released, they had dyes that you could use for the 3 dye-able portions and once used you could apply it to any of the portions and switch through as desired. Just have to acquire the dye to use it. They could have select colors for sale, then have the more wanted ones such as white, black, silver, etc. only obtainable from raids or leveling reputation or something. Doubt it will ever come to such a thing though as they already have a setup to it.

Not if you earned it on your main. Then for some reason you can make an alt and toss it right to him.

I don't agree. I wanna be able to make my guardian look the way I like. If that's the same as your guardian I don't give a -blam!-. I'm interested in my customisation not yours. The lack of customisation in this game is woefully low. I can pick a head but I'll never see it anywhere but the tower :/ I can use a shader but the colours are chosen by someone else and it may not even drop I can get a diff jetbike but the colours are again chosen by someone else and are pretty bad Same with the jumpship. There are zero weapon skins. Halo:Reach had this beat for customisation and that's just not good enough

Ok i see where you're coming from, but i don't get why you're getting angry with me. You don't care if your character looks the same as others and peope would agree with you. But i care about my characters being different and people would also agree with me. I just don't think there's enough shaders and customization to let people easily obtain the best shaders. And also there would be no point of using Chatterwhite and others as Raid rewards and etc when you can just buy them
