Flux grenades are good, but they are the weakest sticky (lowest damage IIRC, definitely smaller AOE than either of the other two).
Skip grenades are actually amazingly good if you can put them in the right place, but they are VERY finicky. If all four submunitions hit the same target for all their max hits, it causes similar damage to Flux on stick. But it is harder to do. However, Skips can also annoy scrums of enemies, where Flux are really single target IMO.

I just started a (probably) PVP only Hunter and in my experience, it's a great way to take out dudes and clear objectives. What I'm learning from playing only PVP is that just staying alive and finding ways to get quick kills is the most effective. So I'm kinda "playing lame" but it's working so far.

Dude, Hunters are either Space Gunfighters (Roland Deschain in space FTW) or Space Ninjas (Gatchaman FTW). Nothing lame about playing the class the way it was designed.
