• You're comparing a completed game to a game that isn't even close to being finished. That's a very weak argument you're trying to make. Don't take this as me trying to be a Destiny fanboy I've played borderlands and love it but comparing they 2 as of now is crazy. And since you're comparing it to BL2 they had a chance to learn from their mistakes and take the input from the fans and put it in to the second one something I'm sure will happen with Destiny 2 or even in future updates.

  • So your argument is that a blatant cash grab is ok? Also Bungie is a seasoned developer they should know better than to do this to us. If I want the complete destiny experience I should buy the DLC that comes out 2 months after release and the next expansion which will probably be in 4 months. And then there will probably be another seasons pass after that I bet. The only reason I haven't boycotted this game is because my 2 sale is not gona have a big impact and I will get the DLC because it's not a lot of money to me but I know many people who are on a tight budget and can't afford to be bent over like that. It's an immoral practice taken to an extreme and if ya can't beat em join em.

  • So you can list reasons as to why BL2 is better based off of its DLC but I can't counter and say it's unfair to compare a completed game to an incomplete one? And I'm not saying what they did was or is right. However assuming all the on disk DLC is 100% complete looking at it from a business aspect I can understand why they did what they did. Every single one of us would do the same thing if we had a product and where capable of releasing parts of it at a time to make more money. And if you really felt that strongly about how they wronged you by doing that you wouldn't buy the DLC you'd stop playing the game and return it. The only way to get a company to listen is by not giving them your money not venting on a forum and saying you're still going to buy the DLC. If anything that makes it worse because now they know they can get away with it.

  • Every game should be judged based on how it is at the moment the comparison is fair because Bungie had the option to either push the game back or include all the content in it. Instead they went for the cash grab. As such there is no excuse for having an unfinished game on the market and once it is released it should be treated like a full game.

  • But parts of your argument as to why BL2 is better is based on its DLC... And if you really want to get down to it there was parts of the BL2 story that made no sense at all and now they are using a second game to further that story. So using your logic is BL2 a bad game because you have to spend $60 to fill in the holes and get the back story? I get that you want everying laid out in front of you but that's not how the world works and the sooner you understand that the better it will be.

  • 1/15 of my argument includes DLC that was created after the games release not before but after and was not a continuation of the main story(which made perfect sense I really don't know where you got that it doesn't but ok). So let's just ignore the fact that 7.5% of my argument is based on dlc. Why are you defending Destiny's DLC practices? The content is on the disc. The content is complete and is not accessible to the consumer.

  • Why five reasons, when there only needs to be one reason Destiny is better? 1. Vault. By the far the best content when comparing the two games and literally trumps every point you made imo. Beyond that. Both games suck. Both loot systems suck. Both feel very "instanced" to me, and don't have immersive worlds. I wish Blizzard would make a FPS. Imagine a WoW-like FPS (or any other successful MMO on the market). Immersive worlds. Layered loot systems. A genuine social atmosphere. It would blow both games out of the water.

  • This is all opinionated. I need numbers like sales figures and such. Numbers don't lie, people do.

  • But people can make numbers lie for them, very easily. Statistics can be bent to serve any rhetorical purpose.

If you go by sales figures then CoD is the best game ever

  • Over a course of like 10 years sure. Destiny has only been out a month and a half so that's invalid. Besides we aren't talking about CoD.

  • Sales are not in the game they are an outside source related to the game and in only a very tiny way indicate the quality of the product. Also an embargo on reviews for this game left people with a whole week after the release to ride the hype train and buy it which has dramatically boosted sales figures because Bungie new that they had perfected their marketing to the point where anticipation would over rule common sense.

Yet you're on the official Destiny forums, trying to prove a point that does not exsist. Your response is opinionated. Which means literally nothing. On top of that, you brought CoD into this, when this post clearly says Borderlands.
Grow up
• Look at my other responses I'm not trying to prove anything as some have come up with 5 good reasons and earned a cookie. Nice assumption though followed by an indication of superiority in your spoiler. Well played
I don't like you
• From the implications, you were comparing games that just have no part in being compared together to begin with. I'll just drop the CoD statement altogether, but with Borderlands, it's an amazing game. Simply beautiful. -Blam-, I'm trying to get all of the achievements in Borderlands 2. But Destiny is not by 2K/Gearbox. It's by Bungie. Which right off the bat cannot be compared. Both companies as a whole do things differently. Should we have been ripped from already in-game content? No. Not by any means. But it's still a beautiful game. It has so much potential. Bungie is trying, regardless of what people think. That should be enough.
Good
• We are on a different page I was slamming this guys "sales prove everything bro statement" Also the two games are similar and quality for all intents and purposes can always be compared regardless if how the game is. Also the two games are surprisingly similar and Bungie did use borderlands as some of it's inspiration.
I still don't like you

but I dislike you a little less
